Halla Margrét has taken an active part in UMFÍ’s work for many years. She has sat on the UMFÍ Youth Council since 2019 and chaired it for the last two years. She has sat on the UMFÍ IT committee since 2023 and on the board of the Nordic youth organisation NordUng on behalf of UMFÍ since 2022, as well as being Iceland’s deputy representative in NORDBUK, the Nordic Council of Ministers’ Children and Youth Committee, on behalf of the Ministry of Education and Children.

Halla Margrét is a computer and software engineer specialising in cybersecurity and works as an information security consultant.
